Kirloskar looks to buy in Europe

For the purpose, the company has recently formed Kirloskar Brothers International BV, a wholly-owned subsidiary at Amsterdam. This subsidiary would function abroad as an investment company for KBL. The company already has a wholly-owned subsidiary in UK, SPP Pumps Limited, which it had acquired in 2002.

"We are looking at other opportunities in Europe, including acquisitions of pump companies," said R.K. Srivastava, director of KBL. He was speaking at a conference to announce the acquisition of Gondwana Engineers Pvt Ltd (GEPL), a private limited company based in Nagpur, by KBL in order to become a big player in the water management business.
